This story starts out well with a Thank You! book thing to say “yes, please” to and a silly one to say “no, thank you to” but the rest of the examples aren’t so fun. Twice the “no Please! No you” response is about cleaning up/5(7). The book runs through different scenarios where a child might say, "yes, please" or "no, thank you." While some of the situations are fine, a few I found inappropriate or gross.

Sometimes I feel our kids are in the minority of folks that say “yes, ma’am” and “no, sir” – and we always want to work on more “yes, please”s and “no thank you”s. I’m thankful for this modern children’s book that focuses on what some think are “old fashioned” manners 🙂.
